Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي خَلَّادٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ زُهْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا،‏‏‏‏ وَقِلَّةَ مَنْطِقٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَاقْتَرِبُوا مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُلْقِي الْحِكْمَةَ .

Hadith in Urdu

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم کسی ایسے شخص کو دیکھو جو دنیا کی طرف سے بے رغبت ہے، اور کم گو بھی تو اس سے قربت اختیار کرو، کیونکہ وہ حکمت و دانائی کی بات بتائے گا ۔

Hadith in English

It was narrated that Abu Khallad, who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘If you see a man who has been given indifference with regard to this world and who speaks little, then draw close to him for he will indeed offer wisdom.’” .
