Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يَبِيعَ الرَّجُلُ تَمْرَ حَائِطِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنْ كَانَتْ نَخْلًا بِتَمْرٍ كَيْلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ كَانَتْ كَرْمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ بِزَبِيبٍ كَيْلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ كَانَتْ زَرْعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ بِكَيْلِ طَعَامٍ نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ .

Hadith in Urdu

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزابنہ سے منع فرمایا، مزابنہ یہ ہے کہ آدمی اپنے باغ کی کھجور کو جو درختوں پر ہو خشک کھجور کے بدلے ناپ کر بیچے، یا انگور کو جو بیل پر ہو کشمش کے بدلے ناپ کر بیچے، اور اگر کھیتی ہو تو کھیت میں کھڑی فصل سوکھے ہوئے اناج کے بدلے ناپ کر بیچے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سب سے منع کیا ہے ۱؎۔

Hadith in English

It was narrated that 'Abduilah bin 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the Muzabanah. The Muzdbanah means when a man sells the dates of his grove when they are still on the tree, for a measure of dty dates;[2] or, if it is grapes, he sells them when they are still on the vine, for a measure of raisins; or if it is a crop, he sells it for food, estimating the amount (of the crop in the field). He forbade all of these things. .
