Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَتْنِي شَعْثَاءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى يَوْمَ بُشِّرَ بِرَأْسِ أَبِي جَهْلٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ .

Hadith in Urdu

جس دن نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ابوجہل کا سر لائے جانے کی بشارت سنائی گئی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔

Hadith in English

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Abu Awfa that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed two Rak’ah on the day when he was given the glad tidings of the head (death) of Abu Jahl. .
