Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ فِي النَّفَلِ، لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ، وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا

Hadith in Urdu

سلیم بن اخضر نے ہمیں عبیداللہ بن عمر سے خبر دی ، کہا : ہمیں نافع نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے غنیمت میں سے گھوڑے کے لیے دو حصے اور آدمی ( سوار ) کے لیے ایک حصہ نکالا۔

Hadith in English

It is narrated on the authority of 'A'isha who said: When the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) passed away, his wives made up their minds to send 'Uthman b. 'Affan (as their spokesman) to Abu Bakr to demand from him their share from the legacy of the Prophet ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ). (At this), A'isha said to them: Hasn't the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: We (Prophets) do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is (to be given in) charity ? .
