Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ سورة الأعراف آية 199 ، قَالَ : مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا فِي أَخْلَاقِ النَّاسِ .

Hadith in Urdu

آیت «خذ العفو وأمر بالعرف‏» ”معافی اختیار کیجئے اور نیک کام کا حکم دیتے رہئیے۔“ لوگوں کے اخلاق کی اصلاح کے لیے ہی نازل ہوئی ہے۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin AzZubair: (The Verse) Hold to forgiveness; command what is right... was revealed by Allah except in connection with the character of the people. `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair said: Allah ordered His Prophet to forgive the people their misbehavior (towards him). .
