Hadith in Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ , أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيٌّ أَنَّهُ , سَمِعَ الْبَرَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَسَّانَ : اهْجُهُمْ أَوْ هَاجِهِمْ وَجِبْرِيلُ مَعَكَ .

Hadith in Urdu

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حسان بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ مشرکین کی ہجو کر یا ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کے بجائے ) «هاجهم» فرمایا جبرائیل تمہارے ساتھ ہیں۔

Hadith in English

Narrated Al-Bara: The Prophet said to Hassan, Abuse them (with your poems), and Gabriel is with you (i.e, supports you). (Through another group of sub narrators) Al-Bara bin Azib said, On the day of Quraiza's (besiege), Allah's Apostle said to Hassan bin Thabit, 'Abuse them (with your poems), and Gabriel is with you (i.e. supports you).' .
